Why I want to vote for Obama

Barack Obama speaking at the church of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Damn it's nice to hear a speech that moves you to feel good and want to change things. Rather than moves you to turn off the TV or throw something at the images of the ape-turned-President.

I thought only Sam and Toby wrote speeches this good.

In a race when the two Democratic candidates (no offense to John Edwards, but he's essentially out of the race) are both good Democrats who believe in the issues I believe in, I want the candidate who makes me smile, gives me hope, and makes me want to work for change.

I love Obama, but my cooperating teacher - a republican - hates him because he feels like listening to Barrack is the same as going to church or listening to MLK Jr. What's funny is that a lot of people think that MLK Jr. was an amazing public speaker--as do I. Oh, silly republicans.

I love Barrack. And the fact that I am terrified of Hilary only makes me like Obama more. PLUS: When I wrote letters to all the politicians when my brother made Eagle Scout (I wrote TOO many friggin letters) Obama's came first...Not that he actually wrote it, I just like that at least his team Got right on it. I digress...

Back to the point: Hilary = Scary. Obama = Awesome.

I've always felt like Obama's my guy - since the very beginning. I really hope he wins the Democratic nomination.
